Plant Habitats
|
Woodlands and Woodland Edges
Woodlands and woodland edges are charactered by tree cover producing medium to
partial shade. Many of the plants that are adapted to these habitats typically
emerge and flower early in the Spring to take advantage of the higher light levels
before the trees leaf out.

|
Low Meadows, Stream Banks, Floodplains or Swampy Places
These habitats are generally low-laying and wet.
|
|
Sunny Upland Meadows and Hillsides
These plants are typically adapted to drier conditions resultant from full
exposure to the sun.
